At St Augustine’s School we believe that all children should have the opportunity to enjoy and celebrate in the beauty of God’s World around them.
Throughout the curriculum and enrichment activities, the children learn about environmental issues that not only affect them but others around the world such as flooding, earthquakes and natural disasters.
Through the Christian values that we live out in our daily lives, we believe that everyone has a positive contribution to the school environment through curriculum, Forest School and the Green Team.
We develop an understanding and commitment to knowledge and skills within these areas that allow the children to see their impact on the ‘bigger picture’.
The Eco Team ensure that sustainability is at the forefront of their agenda when completing jobs around the school from composting, recycling, maintaining prayer areas and litter picking. They feedback to the school and encourage others to think about the part they can play in the wider school community.
Eco Team Vision
We want to protect and save our precious environment, to allow everyone to enjoy God’s creation and teach others about the wonders of nature and sustainability. We want to make our world a better place one step at a time.
