Safeguarding at St Augustine’s
At St Augustine’s School we are committed to safeguarding and protecting the physical and emotional health and well-being of all our children and all our staff. We have worked hard to build a climate in which staff, pupils, parents and governors feel able to articulate concerns comfortably, safe in the knowledge that effective action will be taken, as appropriate.
Our safeguarding and child protection policies apply to all adults, including volunteers and agency staff staff working in or on behalf of our school. We expect everyone working in our school to share responsibility for keeping children safe from harm and abuse, and to report any concerns to one of our DSLs (see our safeguarding team page). Together we must ensure that all children, their families and our staff, feel safe, valued and cared for at all times and always encouraged to be the best they can be.
All recruitment to our school is subject to a safer recruitment process which inlcudes enhanced criminal records and barring checks, scrutiny of employment history, robust referencing and other vetting checks.
